Baby Thought Dead

Miracles do happen and this little baby is proof of it.  For many mothers of stillborn children, they never see their babies' bodies.  I empathisize with those parents because I cannot imagine carrying a baby for 9 months, labor to deliver and not be able to take that baby home.  For these parents, they wanted to say goodbye one more time, and they are very thankful that they made that choice.

Hot Baby Names of 2012

Hot baby names for 2012.  I am a bit of a rebel, but I do so enjoy looking and NOT seeing my 3 children's names on the list.  I like the fact that their names are more uncommon without being strange.  During my weeks of pregnancy with each of them, my first labor pains were of what to name them.  It is very important step and I wanted to make sure that I got their names right.

Benefits of Prenatal Yoga

As a woman who has had three children and discovered yoga after giving birth, I can see how yoga would have benefited me during labor and delivery.  For me, I never thought of the poses helping my labor, but the paranyama breathing.  That type of deep breathing is meant to help a person focus and breathe through the pain of a difficult yoga pose.  You can use that same philosophy to help breathe through the pain of labor.  We know that laboring without interventions is the best choice for your baby but for many women, the fear of labor and its associated pain actually makes their laboring more difficult.  Imagine being so tense and scared of something and then trying to actually do it.  You freeze up.  That is what can happen when a person is terrified of giving birth and can lengthen your laboring time.  Yoga can help in all those areas.

75 Days In Labor?

I don't know if I can say that this woman was in labor since my thought is that labor is painful contractions, but she is to be awed for staying in bed with her feet above her head for 75 days.  And I have both good wishes and sympathy for her as she can now take home 2 of her 3 babies.  Such joy to have two healthy babies and such sadness to have to mourn the one that she lost.
